Rana is Rajinikanth’s upcoming multilingual movie which will see the superstar in triple role The movie directed by KS Ravi Kumar is being made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. This movie Rana will be a period film and is jointly produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth’s Ocher Studio Private Limited and Eros International.
The movie is said to be a action packed entertainer. Earlier it was Deepika Padukone who was supposed to romance the superstar Rajinikanth and now another name is added.
Anushka Shetty is also offered the lead role to share screen space with the triple role essayed by Rajini.
Sources say that while Anushka Shetty has given the nod to act in the film, Deepika Padukone is yet to sign the project. AR Rahman will be scoring the music, Ratnavelu of Endhiran fame will be behind the lens as cinematographer and noted Hollywood technician Charles Darby will be the visual effects advisor.
KS Ravikumar also recently cleared the air as in Rana is a separate film, while Hara a.k.a Sultan the Warrior, which is a live-action animation film , also directed by KS Ravikumar and has music by AR Rahman and is produced by Soundary’s Ocher Studios, will be a separate one and also informs that Rana will get released even before Hara hits the screen.
