Miley Cyrus and Bret Michaels to sing 'Every Rose Has its Thorn' on 'Good Morning America' Lindsay Pepino
Bret Michaels and Miley Cyrus will perform together for the first time on Good Morning America on Friday as part of the show’s summer concert series. The performance will be a live showing and afterwards Cyrus will have a chance to perform on her own singing some of her hits.
The 17-year-old singer and the Poison front man came under fire in February when they performed the suggestive rock-country ballad "Nothing to Lose" together. In the song, the 47-year-old rocker asks Cyrus to "slowly get undressed."
Cyrus is also hitting the concert circuit in time for the release of Tamed on June 21. On Monday, the pop star will fete her album's arrival with a show set to be streamed worldwide across several MTV Networks Music and Logo Group websites. Viewers around the globe can watch the Can't Be Tamed World Premiere Live concert on more than 30 websites, including Miley.MTV.com, Miley.VH1.com, Miley.LogoTV.com and Miley.CMT.com. Fans in nearly 160 countries will have access to the live stream, scheduled to kick off at about 10:30 p.m. ET/ 7:30 p.m. PT.
"I'm so excited to perform my new music live in concert on the night of my album release," Cyrus said in a statement. "Thanks to MTV Networks, my fans from all around the world have the opportunity to be a part of it and experience it with me."
As for Michaels, he has been steering clear of anything that might raise his blood pressure after he suffered a brain hemorrhage and a stroke in April.
After a brief rest, the rocker was back on his feet in time to win "Celebrity Apprentice" and perform on the "American Idol" finale.
He's been lying relatively low since then, so the duet with Cyrus will be his first big televised appearance since the "Idol" performance last month.
As for Cyrus, she isn't slowing down anytime soon. MTV reports that the teen pop star will live stream a world premiere concert next Tuesday, the night that "Can't Be Tamed" arrives in stores.
The stream will begin at 10:30 p.m. ET on June 21st.
